THE WAY OF THE WORLD:
CREATIVELY INTELLIGENT?

Some switch must have been programmed into me which makes me love this world, this planet, and makes me want to sustain its existence, even though our science tells me (now) that the planet will ultimately go the way of others we have seen: Mars, for instance.

Despite this, I believe in some kind of creator with an intelligence, and somehow--even though man cannot, because of his small brain, ever begin to comprehend this design, there is one. And I am grateful for it, whatever it is.

In the wilds, the oceans and even under a microscope we see the same pattern: animals eating others, the strong, the smart, the small, those who can hide, survive being eaten by predators, yet those predators are themselves eaten by others. Then it’s up to the very small to clean up in the end and eat what’s left of them.

This phenomenon is as true of microbes as it is for galaxies which are destroyed, subsumed by voracious others, transformed into cosmic giants, gas clouds, and blown away again. We see, thanks to Hubbel, a pattern in the universe. But do we learn from it?

The boob dubbed Mister President wants the schools to teach the “Science” of Intelligent Design (science?), and the pope is naturally in favor of it. The pope’s own astronomer, a highly respected man of great learning, spoke out saying that no one had any idea of what ID even was. So the pope fired him, flat out. Finito, capito? History lists plenty of popes who have proved to be less than the sainted individuals the Vatican wants us to believe they were, but this is just business we’re talking about, right?
And ain’t that Vatican a great place to invest in, if only we could?
Some people get away with plain murder simply by claiming they speak for God. Just think for a second about condoms in Africa, or even in the US, and see that the church indeed sits on the driver’s seat of State.

So tell me, which so-called intelligence is designing this road show?
